This is the portfolio page of Roland Aigner, Austria-based researcher, multimedia programmer, and artist collaborator.

He uses programming as a tool for sketching and tinkering, producing prototypes and proof-of-concepts. He is most interested in visual and geometric computing and a technological angle to human-computer-interaction and pervasive computing. However, his professional background is diverse and spread all over the area of human encounter with realtime multimedia.

Roland is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in the computer sciences program at TU Wien. He was previously a researcher at the Media Interaction Lab, which is part of the Interactive Media department of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Hagenberg.

In the past, he worked at the Ars Electronica Futurelab in Linz for 7 years as a Key Researcher, as well as at the Adaptive Systems and Interaction Group at Microsoft Research Redmond, and the research team at Realtime Technology in Munich, amongst others.
